I had to do a double take on this one - 80%?! I guess that explains why I keep hearing about it so much. Are you curious what leads to this giant number of people feeling unfulfilled? Here are some common complaints:
Lack of meaningful work
Unhealthy work cultures
Limited autonomy/creativity
I have personally experienced each of these at different phases of my career. Here are some strategies I have put into place that have helped:
🫶🏼 Cultivating strong relationships at work with co-workers and clients - this made a huge difference in how I felt about going into work everyday!
🧘♀️ Making time for hobbies, socializing and exercise outside of work for balance - I know, the infamous "work/life balance" but it DOES work!
🌿 Seeking opportunities to develop new skills for growth - even within my same role I have been able to take on new projects I found interesting and I was able to broaden my skillset in the process.
Were you shocked by the "80%" too?
